I'm looking into hotels/hostels for my potential New York trip, and clearly things have risen in price since I last visited. Eeek. I'd spend as much for a room for four or five nights as I would for the flights. So I'm thinking of investigating AirBnB instead - anyone got any experiences they wouldn't mind sharing?
